Boredom

Today was a long 10 hours of work, punching in at 11 and punching out at 9. I cooked up steaks and marinated chicken for a a wedding of 200 people. After working there for 4 years, you could see how boredom would play a high role in doing the same thing every Saturday.A couple things that i do enjoy about my job is meeting new people, and experiencing how to cook several types of food.

once i got off of work i was looking forward to something going on. i showered up real quick so i could have some fun time during the weekend. i called up a friend and he said he was having people over so i got pumped up ready to go out. right when i walk out of the door, my boss calls and asks if i can come in at 9 instead of 11 a.m.

After giving it deep thought on whether i should go out or not i decided to keep it easy and conserve my energy for work in the morning. After a wave of boredom hit me, i decided to go to Target and pick up a couple movies to buy/watch. When i pulled up to the target i saw a guy locking up the doors to Target. Along with being completely bored i started to feel a little angry like nothing was going right during the day.

On the way home i decided im not going home without a movie so i have atleast something to do throughout the night. Thank god theres always Wal-Mart thats open 24 hours. i picked up 2 movies: The Mist, and Live Free or Die Hard 3. I ended up watching the Die Hard movie.

Just randomly thinking, its weird as humans how we always have to be entertained in some way. Its kinda hard to imagine how cave men used to live back in the day with no technology. I guess there idea of entertainment was chiseling away at a rock and coming up with the invention of wheel/circle. I thought boredom would be an appropriate title because its the one word that best described my day.
